Kirk, Duckworth reveal distinct views on Supreme Court, voter ID laws in questionnaires

Republican Sen. Mark Kirk and his Democratic opponent, U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth have different priorities when it comes to what they’d like to see in the nation’s next U.S. Supreme Court nominee.

Kirk is focused on military and constitutional considerations, while Duckworth is looking for a judge willing to shore up civil liberties and organized labor.

The U.S. Senate candidates also bare differing views on campaign finance laws and voter ID laws. These are just some of the findings voters can use in the candidate questionnaires Duckworth and Kirk completed for Reboot Illinois and the Better Government Association.
