House Dems, GOP introduce Illinois gun control measure

Suspected terrorists and people considered a threat to public safety would be barred from obtaining firearms under a bill in the Illinois House.

The proposal, which has bipartisan support, was filed by state Rep. Gregory Harris, D-Chicago, on June 21, a day after the U.S. Senate rejected four gun control measures in response to the Orlando terror attack.
